Your period will never be the same after using this product

Before I start this post, I would like to disclaim that I will be going into detail about the female menstrual cycle and using words in relation to what happens to a girl on her period. If  you are not comfortable reading about this material, I suggest you skip this blog post.

I went to my family doctor a few months ago to do my yearly Pap test. I suggest all you girls/women do this even if you are not sexually active. It will help you prevent cervical cancer and can help you prevent future problems within your vagina area. I waited a few days to hear from the results of my Pap test. It turned out I go a bacteria infection in my vagina because of my tampon use. I use tampons as directed; however according to my doctor, using a tampon is not ideal for a woman's vagina. When women use a tampon, you are disrupting the natural flow of the blood that is coming out of your body. You are suppose let the blood naturally flow out of your body and not let it be blocked up by a tampon. There is something about the natural flow of the blood that cleanses your vagina so you don't get a bacterial infection. I did not know this at all, therefore as soon as my doctor told me about this. I stopped using a tampon on the regular.

I currently now use tampons when I know I will be moving around a lot that day. In my opinion, I still don't feel comfortable wearing a tampon when I am in any body of water, including the beach and pool. Maybe it's all in my head but to each their own. For so many years now (since my third year of university), I have used tampons religiously. I hated the feeling of a pad. It made me feel like I was wearing a diaper. I did however wear a pad when I went to bed. You should always wear a pad when going to bed. NEVER wear a tampon to bed. Even though they design a tampon to be worn for a maximum of 8 hours, you should never wear a tampon to bed. You don't want to run the risk of getting a Toxic Shock Syndrome.

In November 2012, I went to a Proctor & Gamble sale and I grabbed a package of Always Infinity Pads. I remember seeing the commercials on TV talking about how amazing it is and how it revolutionizes your period. AND OH IT DID FOR ME! This pad is life changing! The material they use to absorb your menstrual blood is so soft. It makes you feel like you are not even wearing a pad. I read the reviews on the Always website in regards to this product and they are all amazing. Even though it is from the company's website and it might be slightly biased, I still believe it since I have used this product before I even read the reviews. They come in many different options as with or without wings and come in different absorbency such as regular, heavy and overnight. I bought the box of the heavy and it's perfect for going to bed with since the back part of the pad is extra long.

Proper Underwear for your Summer Clothing

I was inspired to write this blog post as I have seen SO MANY girls and women wearing the wrong type of underwear with this outfits for this summer. It seems like all the rules go out the door as soon as it gets hot. But no! Not for me at least! Keep in mind these are just my opinions of how I think girls/women should be wearing their underwear with certain outfits.

Note: All pictures are from Forever21 and Victoria's Secret. It's just easier to refer to.

White Fabric/Light Coloured Fabric

You must wear a nude coloured bra for any white piece of clothing. If you wear a white bra, it will accentuate what you are trying to hide in the first place (your bra). For light coloured fabrics, it is best to wear a nude bra or a bra that is of very similar colour to that fabric.

Loose Flowing Sheer Tops

I personally would wear a camisole or tank top underneath these kind of tops. Some girls like to wear just a bra underneath these tops. To each their own though. If you are planning to wear just a bra underneath, I suggest wearing a bralette as they are must prettier to look at than a normal bra. There are different lengths of bralettes. I personally would go for the longer kind.

Muscle Tees/Open Side Tops

I would definitely wear a fun coloured bralette for these. You can wear a bra but I feel like you can have more fun with a bralette underneath peeking through the sides. There is more lace so it's more fun and girly as compared to wear a normal bra with it. Unless it was an all lace bra then go nuts!

Spaghetti Strap Tank Tops

I would wear a bra that would be of the exact colour of the tank top or I would wear a strapless bra. You can also wear a nude bra with this top if you choose. I would try to make sure the bra has very minimal lace as it will show through the tank top if it is form fitting. Bras without lace will be the best option.

Racerback Tank Tops

I would opt for a racerback bra or a strapless bra.

Backless/Low Back Tops/Dresses

These types of tops/dresses needs special attention when it comes to bras. You can attach a bra extender to your current bra to allow you bra to have a low back. You can also choose to wear the stick-on bras to allow you to wear backless pieces of clothing.

Strapless Bras

If you have trouble wearing a strapless bra, try wearing a bustier. It will make you feel more secure especially if your breasts are on the small side.

White Bottoms

Any time you are wearing white bottoms such as shorts, skirts, bottoms and also dresses. Please wear a nude pair of panties. If you wear white, we can see everything! Especially if the material is sheer or slightly see-through in the light. You can wear either a hip hugger or a thong type of panty. It all depends on the cut of the bottoms and how tight the piece of clothing fits on you. The tighter the fabric, the smaller the panty.

That is all I have to say about underwear and how to wear it. If you have any additional questions, please let me know in the comments below. I will be happy to answer.

Also! Please DO NOT show visible bra straps unless it is the same colour as the top AND please DO NOT show any visible panty lines. We all know that it's not sexy or cute at all.

Vacation Planning

So I know I have been MIA for a very long time. I am very much active on my YouTube channel but not so much on my blog. I just need to feel inspired or have a legit idea to blog about. I am currently in the middle of planning my vacation to Los Angeles in October with Shawn. Every fall, me and Shawn plan a trip to go away somewhere. That time is the best time to travel because most people are back in school and travelling expenses are a lot less. What I need from you guys is places that I should check out in the Los Angeles area. Here is what I have so far:

  • Visit Westminster
  • Ellen Degeneres show
  • Allure Wine Tour
  • Disneyland
  • Universal Studios
  • Hollywood sign
  • Rodeo Drive
  • Hollywood and Highland

Please note we do plan to rent a vehicle for the time we are there so we do have the freedom to move around. We plan to stay in the LA area for 5 nights.

Thank you for your help in advance!

Has this ever happened to you?

We all know by now that I am obsessed with online shopping. There are days where all I do is just browse websites to see what is new and in style. Not that I buy too many new clothing because I should be paying off my credit card [which I have done today]. I came across the Victoria's Secret website and I found that they are having their Semi-Annual Sale online. UH I HAD NO IDEA! So I went nuts and added a bunch of items into my cart. I should wait until the sale comes to store on June 11, 2013...

There is just a screen shot of a few of the things I put into my cart. I just recently [meaning this week], I made an order at Forever 21 for about $160. I don't need to be spending more money on clothes!! Once I cut down on the few of the items, that is what you see above. I immediately then closed the window because I KNEW I SHOULD NOT BE SPENDING MORE MONEY ON THINGS I DON'T NEED!!

Now what I want to know is, how many of you have done this? Put a bunch of items into your cart but don't end up buying any of it? It also happened to me earlier today on Beyond The Rack. I can't help it! I got an online shopping addiction!

Just a short post...;D

So.....I know I have been M.I.A. for over a month. This post is just to let you all know, I am still alive! If you ever want to read or see what I am doing, I do suggest you follow me on Twitter and Instagram. I have been super busy with work. I have however bought a lot of new things over the past few weeks so expect a few hauls videos in the next coming weeks. I can only film them in the mornings and afternoons where I can get the best natural lighting. The haul videos with feature items from:

  • Forever 21
  • Yves Rocher
  • Garage
  • Sephora
  • ASOS
  • Winners
SO BE EXCITED! I will try to film them all on my digital camera so it will be in HD. The only problem is, I will have to edit them all on Shawn's computer. Why must my laptop be so difficult when editing .mov files??? #beautyguruproblems

I miss you all so much you have no idea!!!

The Original Wedding Soiree 2013

A weeks ago (on St. Patrick's Day to be exact) I had the opportunity to spend my day at The Original Wedding Soiree. A few weeks earlier, I won a Twitter contest that was held by Bourjois Paris. They were giving away a pair of tickets to the show if your retweeted their tweet. I decided to retweet it thinking I was not going to win because I NEVER win anything! People around me usually win but I never do. So basically I won and I was so excited to go. Although I am not engaged, I love going to wedding shows. It was funny because when I was at the show all the vendors thought I was engaged but I just won a contest. I am not looking at these vendors for fun, it was actually informative and it gave me ideas for my future wedding when I do decide to get married.

Enjoy the photos!

Light Blue Shade Shampoo Review

Sometime late February of this year I purchased a new purple shampoo for my ombre hair. I have written a brief blog post about it at the time I purchased the product. This shampoo is designed for people with white, grey and blonde hair. I am reviewing this product as I had blonde hair.

I finished about a third of the bottle which gives me a good idea of how well the product worked for me.

First off, I found this product in Walmart when I was searching for a new bottle of purple shampoo. I previously tried the purple shampoo from John Freida but I wanted to try something new. I read a few reviews of this product before I tried out the product on my hair. I am glad I did because the shampoo is a lot more pigmented than I original thought it would be (lavender purple).

Above is picture of what the product looks like straight out of the bottle. You can see that the product is a dark purple; which totally freaked me out at first. However, I did read reviews of this product and girls have been mixing this shampoo with small amounts of their regular shampoo for colour treated hair. So that is exactly what I did.

I put a bit too much of the regular shampoo with the Light Blue Shade Shampoo but you do get an idea of what I did to achieve a lighter shade of purple shampoo.

Once both products are all mixed together, you can see that the shampoo is now an appropriate shade of purple for my ombre hair. I would do all the mixing in the palm of my hand when I am in the shower.

As for the benefits that the products claim that it does to your hair, it definitely did it for me. However my ends were a bit dried out from the winter weather, which is normal. There is only so much a shampoo can do to moisturize your hair. It's all about the deep conditioning masks for the hair to get moisture back into your hair.

I would repurchase this product again if I ever do decide to dye parts of my hair blonde again. It is a less expensive alternative to the John Freida purple shampoo as this bottle only costs me around $7 for a 450 mL bottle.

If you don't have a Walmart near you, you can also purchase Light Blue Shade online.

Note 1: Shampoo swatch pictures were taken with my iPhone because my regular digital camera made the shampoo photo blue instead of purple.

Note 2: I no longer I have ombre hair because I cut my hair earlier this week! If you follow me on Instagram, you would see what it currently looks like!

My New Obsession

As you all can tell, I have been gone just for a short while but it is because of this new book I have got recently. I got it as a gift from the boyfriend for Valentine's Day and I could not wait to start reading it! So I did! It is part of a trilogy in the Gabriel's Inferno series. I am not going to lie, the first book, Gabriel's Inferno was difficult for me to get through. It finally got interesting halfway through the book. However, Gabriel's Rapture, I COULD NOT PUT DOWN! I also cried in several chapters of the book which was a shocker to me. I don't usually cry a lot in books but this one. OMG I just couldn't even deal! It was so heart-wrenching and beautiful at the same time. The passion Professor Emerson has for Julianne is incredible. If I can experience that kind of the love that they have, my life would be complete. Some of you might not know this but this book was a fan fiction of Twilight. Yeah I know it can be annoying that Twilight is everywhere. I haven't even read the series myself so I can't even say if it's the same or not. BUT the book was originally an online fan fiction under the name University of Edward Masen. I finally got a PDF of the original story and I plan to read it sometime soon. It does have the continuation onto Book 3 of the series which is currently being written. It is unnamed right now and the release date will be named soon! I am so in love with Gabriel's and Julianne's story, I can't even deal! If you are obsessed with the story as much as I am, let me know!

I do have a Goodreads account so check mine out here!
