1.5 Year Anniversary Weekend with Shawn

This past weekend I attended the annual Ice Wine Festival at Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL), Ontario. I love this place! It's a great escape from the city life. I first discovered this place when I was at Brock University and have been going ever since. It's my fourth year going to the Ice Wine Festival. Here is the link to go to their website: Click here

The only event that I attend is the Ice Wine Village which is usually held on the second weekend of the festival.

We stayed at a bed & breakfast called Brockamour Manor. I love this place!! We stayed in the room called The Loft. It's basically the attic but really amazing. It really is a "hidden treasure" (from their website). There is so much history in this house. Rick, the owner of the bed & breakfast was such a nice man. He made our stay very comfortable and relaxing as well as his wife Colleen. I highly recommend going there if you plan to spend the night in NOTL. It is also a short walk from Queen Street (the main street of NOTL) so it's in a perfect location. Not too close and not too far from the fun!

So I know I have not updated my blog at least once a week like I said in my new years resolutions for this year. But I did miss last week for a good reason. I will explain why...

I volunteered at a luxury wedding show on Sunday January 8th for the majority of the day then hung out with Shawn later that night to watch Kourtney and Kim Take on New York (KKTNY). Love that show!
Monday, I had a doctor's appointment that morning to do a TB test. Discovered I got major back pain since I was heels all day Sunday. Vomited 3 times that day because I couldn't even cook food for myself since I was in so much pain so I just ate random stuff I could easily grab. I was home alone for most of the day. Lesson learned, wear flats when standing for long periods of time. I don't own a pair of fancy/cute/girly black flats to go with formal dresses. I am on the search to find one so if you know of any, send me links!!
Tuesday, I was still in back pain so stayed home from work.
Wednesday, I worked all day. Back pain was finally going away.
Thursday, went to the doctor to get my results for the TB test. I do not have TB so YAY!!! I also woke up with a sore throat and it escalated from there. I jsut got more and more sick. I started getting a runny nose and felt just disgusting.
Friday to Monday, I was literally dying from being so sick. I couldn't even see Shawn on Thursday to watch Jersey Shore. It's our tradition that we do. Same thing for Sunday with KKTNY.
Tuesday, it was my second day of my co-op job and I watched Glee and The L.A. Complex with Shawn that night.

So now I finally have the opportunity to blog! I hope you enjoyed this update blog. It's so hard to get in the habit to blog, especially since I hardly ever post here. But I really need to keep this blog up and going.

I am thinking about posting my monthly Glymm Box reviews on this blog. What do you think? Instead of filming a video, I will post it on this blog instead. Let me know your thoughts!!

Happy New Year!! My New Years Resolutions for 2012 and on!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy new years! Me and Shawn went to his friends house party to celebrate and it was lots of fun. Since it is a new year, I have to come up with new, new years resolutions. Here are my resolutions from last year, just so we can see what progress I have made in 2011.

1) Do Follow Fridays on Twitter.

2) Find a job in marketing/promotions.

3) Go to college for marketing.

4) Workout at least once a week.

5) Go to Los Angeles.

The ones that are bolded are the ones I have completed. I'm not going to lie, some of the resolutions I have made because I knew I was going to complete them. That is why this year, I tried to make resolutions that will be a challenge to me. So here is my resolutions for 2012!!

1) Write a blog post at least once a week.

2) Pay off credit card debt.

3) Finish at least one perfume bottle.

4) Film more make-up tutorials.

5) Get your G2.

6) Make a positive impact on someone's life.

7) Drink more water. At least one glass a day.

8) Curse less.

9) Don't buy beauty products just because it looks pretty. Just get what you need.

10) Finish up at least one make-up product per month.

I hope I can complete some of the resolutions by the end of the year, if not, there is always 2012. Just an FYI, I don't believe the world is going to end. Just because the Mayan calendar ends, doesn't mean our world will. What are your new years resolutions?

So I had a bad day....

This post will kind of be like a rant blog but I will try not make it one. I just need to release my feelings.

I basically had a very bad day. I didn't get much sleep. I felt kind of weird since I was wearing the same clothing as I wore the day before because I slept over at a family friends' house. It was just a weird day for me to start off.

I went into work and basically crazy things started happening all day. I was very much in a bitchy mood and couldn't get out of it for awhile.

To even end off the day, I had to walk in the rain in my new Aldo wedges that costs me over $100. I also did not have an umbrella since I did not get a chance to go back home to go get it. I am one of those people that ALWAYS carries their umbrella with them when I know it's going to rain. I check the weather every morning and I dress accordingly. In this case I couldn't.

I also missed the GO bus to go back home because I couldn't walk fast enough in the wedges I was wearing. They were 5 inches so I didn't think it was worth it for me to run and twist my ankle just to make a bus ride. So that make me feel even worse about my day.

When I finally got on the GO bus, the bus driver told me I could take a different bus in order to get to my destination. I told him I knew that. In my mind, I did not want to wait around for the bus because I would be unproductive. Although the bus he recommended to me would make me arrive 15 minutes earlier than the bus he was driving, I did not care. I was in such a bad mood that I would take the first bus that would take me to my destination. Keep in mind it was raining A LOT! So I was definitely wet and feeling miserable as hell. The bus drivers even had the balls to tell me "Next time, you should take the other bus". Uh, is there a rule where you can tell me what bus I want to take. NO! I can do whatever I want. I am paying for your service so it doesn't matter how I get to my destination. The bus he was driving only had less than 10 people in it so I don't know why he was making such a big deal.

So I found a seat and I just started balling my eyes out. The whole situation with the GO bus driver just pushed me over the edge and I just started crying. Luckily, no one was around me so it was as embarrassing. But yea, that was my bus ride home.

I also got in a huge argument with my dad because he made me take the GO bus home in the rain. When I finally got home I talked to him about it during dinner and started crying at the dinner table. He just said things to me that were very hurtful. You should never say to your children the thing he said to me. He basically make me feel worthless.

Chinese New Year and change in resolutions!

I am super excited for this weekend! Because it's Chinese New Year weekend. New Years Eve is this wednesday and actual Chinese New Year is on Thursday. Which means one thing girls.....MONEY!!

YESS!!!

I love money. Don't we all. I'm pretty sure my family is going to temple wednesday night and staying there until 1am. Not sure what we will be doing on Chinese New Year but I am up for anything. My mom usually cooks something vegetarian and some awesome desserts like brown sugar cake.

What are your Chinese New Year traditions?? If you are oriental...haha!

Oh for those who do have Rogers home phone, from Wednesday to Thursday this week from 8pm wednesday to 8pm thursday, you can call China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. SO GO CRAZY!!

And for the change in resolutions, I am changing the "Go to Vancouver" to "Go to Los Angeles". I am planning to go to LA late June so I am going to IMATS LA!! How exciting!! So yea, more details later. But the reason why I am changing my resolutions is because Vancouver is more of a family vacation then a couple destination. Hahaha omg that rhymes!

My New Years Resolutions

I have decided to make a blog post about this subject instead of making a video about it. Last year I have completed 4 out of the 5 resolutions I had. Here is the list of them in case you don't know what they were.

Graduate from Brock University with a Bachelors in Business Administration.
Use more make-up and buy less.
Gain 500 - 1000 subscribers.
Find a decent paying job in Marketing/Promotions.
Go to Vegas!!!

I have finish everything but the finding a job in Marketing/Promotions. It's a lot harder than it seems but I tried. That is why I plan to make it happen this year of 2011. Oh wait, that can't happen since I am going back to school. Damnnn!!

Here are my resolutions for 2011!!

Go to Vancouver. I've always wanted to go ever since the last Olympics was there and they city looks really beautiful. And also they film Smallville there so HA!

I hope I can actually complete all my resolutions this year. I have a copy of them on my desktop to get myself motivated so hopefully it will all come true. Wish me luck!

Shawn's First Korean BBQ Experience!!!

Hello my fellow earthlings!

Hahaha just kidding! So finally my first blog post of 2011!! Yeahhh and obviously it has to be food!! I have decided to take Shawn to a Korean BBQ restaurant. The restaurant we went to is called Chako. It's located by Leslie and Hwy 7 in Richmond Hill I believe. If not, just Google it. You can find everything there! Sadly this restaurant does not have a website but I can tell you, you will walk out of that restaurant feeling really really really FAT. I literally passed out in a food coma for about 2 hours. Ask Shawn, he knows.

Anyways, here are some pictures from our dinner! P.S. We went to the dinner during the week (Monday-Thursday). They have an additional menu for those who go on the weekend!

Hey everyone!

I want to take the time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas to those to celebrate it!! And for those who don't enjoy your holidays and your awesome 4 day weekend to me fellow Canadians!

I am not sure what I will be doing this Christmas being that my brother is sick in the hospital as of yesterday morning. His lung has collapsed again. He previously had a surgery done for it around my birthday.

I would love it if you guys take the time to go to his channel and wish him the best of luck and get well better messages. I think it would make him really happy. He has his laptop in the hospital so he does have internet.

Hi Everyone!

Overall my experience at Cora's was a hit and miss. Here is why:

HIT:

The food was amazing
Free drink because I had a coupon
I felt like I was in kindergarden because of the designs on the walls

MISS:

There was a piece of hair on my orange. NOT COOL!
The wait was around 15 minutes just to get in. I went on a Sunday at 11am.
The waiter tricked me into adding more to my potatoes and I had to pay more for them

Shawn invited me out for some bubble tea so we went to Bubble Republic!! Here are some pics! I totally forgot to take pics of our drinks. Sorry!

We both had hot bubble tea with tapioca. Mine was kind of weird because it was lychee black tea. Never had it before, the lychee pieces in there were black and tasted disgusting.

I applied UDPP on the back of my hand before I swatched these. So it turned out that the E.L.F. eye shadow creams were not the same colour for some of them. They look same in the pan but different on your skin.
